In Loving Memory of My First Instagram.

Rest in peace my first Instagram account @missmaxinesun, @meetmaxine_ then lastly @withmaxine_

(June 2025 - July 2026)

In June, whilst I was on holiday, when I first got the notification that my Instagram account status has been restricted and my ability to send direct messages have been blocked. I felt a pang in my stomach, already knowing what was coming.

I had seen this exact scenario happen to many industry peers, and knowing my penchant for sharing sensuous, teasing content, I always knew that there was a high likelihood that it would happen to me too, one day.

But it still didn’t quite prepare me for the loss for my account that I had poured so much of my time and creative energy in the past year to.

Upon seeing the first notification, I let out a sigh and mentally braced myself.

And then two weeks later the worst finally happened — I got banned permanently from Instagram at 2.5k followers.

I know many of you on there are missing my presence.

I miss being on there, too.

So what had happened?

I don’t know exactly, but from all I know and after chats with friends in digital marketing, it seems that a certain someone, or someone(s), had spent considerable time and effort submitting fake reports about me to Instagram for being a fraud. (Ridiculous, I know…)

This is the first time I really got to experience first-hand how truly horrific and internally ugly some in the industry can be.

It’s clearly very obvious that the green eyed monster got the better of someone, and they seemingly thought that taking down my Instagram would be a way that they can stop my rise and thwart my progression in this industry.

A few of my old Instagram posts, those of you who found me on there will remember just how great (and distinctly me) my old posts were.

Did it hurt when it happened?

Certainly it did.

I liked Instagram not only as a mini portfolio of who I am and my entire vibe, but also, it was a way for me to creatively express myself and share moments of my life as Maxine in the way that I wanted.

But I had already grieved it the time I got restricted, so it didn’t hurt too much when the ban happened.

Was it a blessing in disguise?

Also yes, because it freed me up from looking at Instagram mindlessly at every spare moment I could get. And it also led me to here now, creating my blog and putting my efforts now and in the future towards longer-form content that will never get restricted, or taken away from me.

Instagram, as of 2025-2026 and beyond, has increasingly become a “family-friendly” app which means that it has become extremely hostile for sensual creators like myself and others to exist and be ourselves in.

Fellow companions, I do very much recommend creating a presence outside of these draconian social media platforms, as they are increasingly not a safe space for us anymore. It also explicitly says that us having a presence on it goes against their rules.

If you are a client and are looking to keep up to date with your favourite companion, it’s good for you to be aware of this fact, and perhaps create accounts on multiple platforms to follow beyond just Instagram, and regularly check their updated handles and contact methods on the directories, as bans happen across all platforms, all the time.

The best news is I don’t think that this will have much of an impact on me as almost all of my gents aren’t even on social media in the first place (they’re too busy out there making that bread) so who whoever you are, if your intention is to cause a downfall to me, you’ve sadly failed. 😂

Will I come back on Instagram eventually?

That remains yet to be seen.

For now, I am quite liking the peace and quiet and being disconnected from the all noise, and I am here pouring my words and energy to this blog as my new creative endeavour. Even if I do return, it certainly won’t be my main online space anymore.

That being said, those of you who followed my Instagram will remember it as being cornerstone to solidifying my identity as Maxine, the chic, mischievous Asian girl who can often be found lounging on hotel beds, wandering through upscale restaurants and catching midnight flights in airports.

From now on, the bulk of my online presence and hard work creating immersive worlds, beautiful aesthetics (and now, written words) will live on here, on my website and blog. No longer on social media platforms.

Here is where you follow me now.
